Why did you decide to try 26+2 Hot Yoga?
I was really attracted to it, initially because of the heat. I come from Italy where it is hot, so this was a blessing for me. And I want to look after my body and soul more regularly. I have tried other yogas and the gym, but the combination of the heat and the yoga really works for me.
What do you like about 26+2 Hot Yoga?
I like the sequence and that you stick to it, this means that I can see the improvements every time I come in. I also love that you are dealing with all parts of your body.
I also like the intensity of the practice, by this I mean, you cannot get away from the heat, so in order to deal with it, you have to focus and concentrate extra hard. For someone like me, whose mind is always so busy, this is great, because it allows me to focus on the body for a change and not what is going on in my head!
What is the biggest change you have seen in yourself since starting your practice at Kapiti Hot Yoga?
After the class (and a nice shower) I feel serenity and peace. At the same time, my body feels good, like I’m glowing from the inside out. I feel stronger. I’m not in a hurry to be perfect! Little by little… when you are not perfect you can make lots of improvements!
What would you say to someone who is thinking about trying 26+2 Hot Yoga?
You have nothing to lose! I would encourage them to try it, it's worth giving it a go! I have to admit after the first class, I was ready to never come back, but just as I had that thought, Anj (our Instructor) said that you have to give it at least a few go before you decide and I am so glad I did! No one forgets their first class... but the more you come the better you get.
