Posture In Daily Life Workshop | Sunday 23 October, 11-1pm
How often do you think about your posture? Nil, nada, never? You are not alone. Unfortunately we do not give a lot of attention to our posture, but by taking the time to observe our posture, we can tell where we have been, and likely where we are heading, our posture can be the roadmap of one’s past and future. In this 2-hour workshop, Fabiola will guide you to explore your posture in your daily life, look at the foundations of good posture and discuss the intrinsic relationship between good posture and quality of life. Fabiola, is a Movement Therapist, with over 20 years experience in Physiotherapy, Massage, and Belgian GDS Muscular Chains Therapy. Using the Bertazzo Method - an internationally renowned Movement Therapist from Brazil - she will invite you to experience your own body and its relationship with space and the environment in a fun and interactive way. It's safe to say that you will never walk the same again! Tickets are $60 p/person and spaces are limited. Click here to book your spot. An Intimate Night of Sound Meditation| Friday 28 October, 7-8pm
Our monthly sound meditation evenings are proving to be extremely popular. Hosted by Samuel Mcmillan, Samuel creates a beautiful setting for relaxing and letting all your tensions and worries melt away. Using primarily Himalayan Singing Bowls accompanied by other percussion based instruments - including gongs, chimes, bells and tang shaws - Samuel creates an environment to help relax one's body, mind and promote a sense of overall well-being and balance. Dates for the remainder of the year are on the website and Samuel will next be playing on Friday 30 September, 7-8pm. Tickets are $35 p/person and spaces are limited. Click here to book your spot. Studio Party/Get Together| Saturday 29 October, 5.30pm onwards
In December 2020, I tentatively opened the doors to Kapiti Hot Yoga… with just 6 classes on the schedule, one teacher and a room with mirrors and heaters, Kapiti Hot Yoga was born. Now nearly two years and one pandemic later, we have 12 classes, a team of incredible teachers and over 400 students having tried a class.. and we are long overdue for a Studio Get Together! Please join us on Saturday 29 October, 5.30pm onwards for drinks and nibbles. Everyone is welcome, past, present and future students, we would love to see you all! Food and drinks to share will be most welcome. |

And finally, it seems appropriate to end with the quote that we have on the wall at the studio. Like many this winter has been a tough one for my family and I. In addition to having Covid we have been slammed multiple times with coughs, colds and flues, so I am looking forward to dusting off the winter cobwebs and starting again, hopefully not completely from scratch!
Have a great Spring everyone, and see you in the hot room!!
