Kapiti Hot Yoga is different
At Kapiti Hot Yoga, we teach the original 26+2 Hot Yoga sequence --
a structured series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises practised in the same order every class.
The consistency is what makes it powerful.
Over time, the practice helps improve:
flexibility and mobility;
strength and balance;
focus and concentration;
posture and body awareness;
stress regulation and mental clarity
Our infrared heated room helps warm muscles and joints,
creating a supportive environment for the body to move safely, release and open more freely.
And unlike many fitness spaces:
there’s no pressure to perform, no expectation to do everything, and no need to already be “fit” or flexible
The goal is simply to stay in the room.

Asked questions
How does the Intro Pass work?
Your two weeks begin from the date of your first class, and during that time you’re welcome to attend as many classes as you like. We recommend at least 3–4 classes to really experience how the practice works.
What happens after the Intro Pass?
We’ll check in with you to see how you’ve responded to the practice. If you’d like to continue, we have a range of membership and class pass options depending on how often you’d like to attend.
What if I’m not flexible?
You do not need to be flexible to start, flexibility is what comes from the practice. In fact, many people begin because they feel stiff and tight.
What if I need to rest?
That’s completely normal. We encourage students to listen to their bodies and take breaks when needed. The goal is simply to stay in the room.
Is the room very hot?
Yes — the room is heated using infrared heat. The warmth is designed to help support movement, circulation and mobility. Like anything new, your body adapts over time.
Which class should I start with?
All of the postures in the sequence are beginners yoga postures, the only difference between the hot classes is the length of time, 60, 75 or 90 minutes. If you are feeling particularly nervous about the heat, we recommend starting with Kiwi Hot 75.
We’re happy to guide you based on your experience, injuries or confidence levels.
What do I need to bring?
A yoga mat, towel and water bottle. If you don’t have these yet, we can help.
