Terms & Conditions

D O N ' T  S W E A T

We have the small stuff covered!

These Terms of Service outline the policies that help Kapiti Hot Yoga run smoothly for everyone. By attending classes, purchasing passes or memberships, or participating in events, you agree to these terms.

GENERAL
  • Kapiti Hot Yoga reserves the right to cancel, change or vary classes, teachers, workshops or events. While we endeavour to give as much notice as possible, this may not always be possible. Please check the live timetable for up-to-date information on classes, events and workshops.
  • The studio will close for approximately 10–14 days during the Christmas and New Year period, and there may be a reduced schedule at the beginning of each year.
  • Kapiti Hot Yoga reserves the right to refuse entry or service where necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students and staff.

BOOKINGS
  • All students are required to pre-book and pay online for classes, workshops and events.
  • If you arrive for a class without a booking and the class is at capacity, priority will be given to those who have booked online.
  • If you are unable to attend a class you have booked, please cancel online at least 1 hour before the class start time so another student can take your place.
  • Late arrivals may not be admitted once class has started, as this can be disruptive to the class and teaching environment.
  • Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in temporary booking restrictions.

PASSES & MEMBERSHIPS
  • Passes and memberships can only be used for regular scheduled classes and do not include workshops or special events, which will be charged separately.
  • Once purchased, passes and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless otherwise agreed at the discretion of Kapiti Hot Yoga.
  • Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Kapiti Hot Yoga.

INTRO OFFER
  • The 2 Week Intro Pass is a one-time offer for new students attending Kapiti Hot Yoga.
  • Your two-week period begins from the date of your first attended class, and you are welcome to attend as many classes as you like during this time.

CLASS PASSES
  • One Class Pass: Valid for 7 days from the date of purchase for a single class.
  • Ten Class Pass: Valid for 3 months from the date of purchase for ten classes.
  • If you have unused classes remaining when your Ten Class Pass expires, we are happy to transfer the remaining classes to a newly purchased Ten Class Pass.

AUTOPAY MEMBERSHIPS
  • Autopay memberships provide unlimited classes and are billed weekly or monthly in advance (depending on the membership selected).
  • All memberships include an Initial Commitment Period of 3 months.
  • After the Initial Commitment Period, your membership will continue automatically until cancelled.
  • Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your account. If three payment attempts fail, a $10 administration fee may be charged.

INITIAL COMMITMENT PERIOD
  • When signing up for an Autopay Membership there is an Initial Commitment Period of 3 months (12 payments if paying weekly or 3 payments if paying monthly).
  • During this period your membership cannot be cancelled.
  • Once the Initial Commitment Period has been completed, your membership will continue automatically until cancelled.
  • Memberships may be placed on hold during the Initial Commitment Period (see below).

PLACING YOUR MEMBERSHIP ON HOLD
  • Memberships may be placed on hold for up to 2 months per calendar year, with a minimum hold period of 2 weeks.
  • A minimum of 1 week's notice is required to place a membership on hold, and your membership must be active and up to date (no failed payments).
  • To place your membership on hold, please email: [email protected] with the dates you would like your payments paused and resumed.

CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP
  • Memberships may be cancelled after the Initial Commitment Period by providing two week's written notice.
  • To cancel your membership please email: [email protected]

COUPLES / FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
  • Couples or Family memberships are available to individuals living at the same household address.
  • Kapiti Hot Yoga reserves the right to verify eligibility for this membership type.

EVENTS & WORKSHOPS
  • Workshops and special events held at Kapiti Hot Yoga are charged separately from regular classes.
  • If you cancel a booking and your place can be filled, a full refund will be provided.
  • While we will do our best to fill the space, this cannot be guaranteed.
  • If Kapiti Hot Yoga cancels a workshop or event, a full refund will be issued.

MEDICAL, INJURY OR EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
  • If you experience injury, illness, pregnancy or other exceptional circumstances that prevent you from attending classes, please contact us as soon as possible.
  • At the discretion of Kapiti Hot Yoga we may offer:
    • placing your membership on hold
    • extending the expiry of a class pass
    • transferring the remaining value of a pass to a future credit
  • Refunds will not normally be provided, but requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Kapiti Hot Yoga.

HEALTH & LIABILITY
  • By attending classes at Kapiti Hot Yoga you acknowledge that you are participating in physical activity in a heated environment at your own risk.
  • Students should stay well hydrated and are encouraged to rest whenever needed during class. Students should do their best to remain in the room so the teacher can look after them, and may sit down or take a break at any time if needed. Leaving the room should be a last resort, and students are encouraged to return to the room when they feel ready.
  • Students agree to inform the teacher of any injuries, medical conditions or pregnancy prior to class.
  • Kapiti Hot Yoga and its teachers are not liable for injuries, damages or loss of personal belongings resulting from participation in classes, workshops or events, except where required by New Zealand law.

PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING & SOCIAL MEDIA
  • From time to time Kapiti Hot Yoga may take photographs or short videos in the studio for promotional or marketing purposes.
  • If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please let us know and we will ensure that any images used do not include you.
  • Students are asked to respect the privacy of others and not photograph or film other students in the studio without their consent.
  • Kapiti Hot Yoga reserves the right to request that photography or filming stop if it disrupts the class or compromises the privacy of others.

PRIVACY
  • When submitting your personal information to us, you agree that this information may be stored securely in electronic and/or paper form for the purpose of managing bookings, memberships and studio communication.
  • You have the right at any time to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
