Join Samuel McMillan for an intimate night of Sound Meditation. During the sound meditation you will be immersed in the deep and energizing tones of large gongs and peaceful and uplifting sounds from a large collection of Himalayan Singing Bowls and other percussion based instruments - including chimes, bells and tang shaws - Samuel creates an environment to help relax one's body, mind and promote a sense of overall well-being and balance.
A 2-hour workshop for the body and the mind, using breath and movement to unleash your creative side. The first half of the workshop focuses on grounding you with a gentle yoga flow to get the body moving and activate your breath. We then move into the second part, where we let our creativity flow using colours and a particular fun-drawing technique which helps relieve stress and quiet your mind. No prior skills are needed for either yoga or drawing, both are about the process and less about the outcome.
Led by Anja Wilhelmer, Anja is a local to Waikanae with a passion for art and yoga, in fact you may have seen some of her murals around town. Anja brings a grounded quiet presence to her classes, allowing you to find your own way through the poses and the drawing.
